I bought this because I was fed up with trains and buses. I used this all Summer and still am at the time of this writing. The amount of freedom I’ve become accustomed to is invaluable. It feels liberating to leave for work/school and arrive not only on time, but with time to spare. It took me about an hour to get to work before this scooter. Now I’m averaging 30 minutes. In the city an extra free 30min is a lot of time to get to yourself.
it’s been a solid product and I’m happy with it so far. The primary benefit for me is the low weight and folded form, so I can carry it up and down stairs easily and also wheel it on one wheel. This makes it really easy to mix with transit, and this has improved my commute. The features I would consider with an upgrade would be 1) suspension of some sort; 2) ability to activate brakes on both wheels from the handlebars.
One minor matter: The front LED appears to be missing the green on mine, so it can only produce red and blue combinations. I’m contacting support about that.
It’s beautiful! Definitely a head-turner on these Brooklyn streets. It came fully assembled and was as easy as possible to set up! I’ve been riding it everywhere.
Let me tell you what this is. It is a light weight, light duty, short distance scooter. It is well made and does what it is supposed to do well. The real range is about 5 miles, it requires a smooth surface to operate comfortably. That is not for off-road use. It weighs about 23 pounds which makes it very convenient for portable transportation.( For longer ranges, heavier riders or not smooth terrain I would get a different scooter like the mantis or inokim or even the Segway ninebot max. But those are more expensive and much heavier but have 30 mile and up ranges. Which is convenient. ) this a good scooter and well made if you can work within its limitations. There are places where my mantis is too much and I am glad to have this with me.
We purchased this scooter for my 110 lb girlfriend to use running up and down the dock at our marina. It’s super light and easy for her to throw in the car when she heads to the grocery store or runs other errands. Two down sides: 1) the battery life is only good for a max of 7 miles and that’s carrying my small girlfriend. 2) the ride is rough – you’ll feel every sidewalk crack. Our docks our smooth and distance to the parking lot from our boat is under a half mile so this unit is perfect for us. Easy to store. lightweight and super cool looking.
