A Smart E-Bike
This bike features a King Meter five-speed smart power assist system (SPAS) that lets you operate it twice as efficiently as a non-smart-assist e-bike. You get to select your power consumption on the LCD screen attached to the bike’s handlebars, which also showcases your speed, distance, and battery life.
Fully Equipped for Efficiency
The Catalina Beach Cruiser is fully equipped with both front and rear Tektro disc brakes. It also features true VELO-brand hand grips and a plush, oversized beach cruiser seat with dual springs to help cushion your ride. It comes with a beverage holder and a folding basket that you can hang on the front handlebars or rear rack.
The Ultimate Cruiser
This cruiser is one of the best in its category. Built for maximum comfort, it’s also suited to climbing hills, thanks to its 500W zero-resistance motor with torque sensor. Everything about the Catalina cruiser is top-notch and built to last.
My husband took about 4 hours to put it together using the manual. However some parts on the bike had been assembled incorrectly for example the meter on the handlebar was upside down, and the control buttons for it had been assembled so they weren’t visible. So for a complete novice like myself I had no clue how to get going! Luckily I figured it out. It would be helpful if there was a simple “quick start” manual for beginners! The bike looks good and rides smoothly but I haven’t challenged it yet.
I got the Catalina for my wife, and she loves it. We go on long rides together, and sometimes even bring a picnic lunch and make it a proper date. As the saying goes, happy wife, happy life.
I’ve been enjoying riding this bike so much! I feel 10 years old again! Only problems to report was some things came damaged and there were no/useless instructions to build the bike or it’s parts. Had to use YouTube to figure it all out. The rear wheel was flat (hole in the tube), the basket was bent and screws missing for it, the shelf was in a million pieces with no instructions. They sent a replacement tube and basket. The replacement tube also had a hole. I ultimately had to take the bike to a local bike shop to get the tire fixed so I could finally ride. But I’m loving using the bike now.
Goes 20mph easily. I use the pedal assist for about 7 miles then strait out use the motor on its own without peddling for 1.5 miles. I can do 2, 8.5 mile commutes on one charge, so 17 miles without a charge, but I’m using level 3 or higher so really juicing it. The e-bike shop had to assemble it for me. He said it will need more part replacements over time because it’s made in China and with cheaper parts, but I also didn’t spend $4000 on the bike so I understand what I paid for. I commute between 16-40 miles per week in cooler sunshine to pouring rain and the bike holds up well, carries my paniers on the back tire quite well. Feels sturdy. Still getting use to such a curved handlebar. First bike where the handlebar isn’t simply straight across for me.
I love my new Catalina Cruiser Electric Bike. It came with so many options, and I get so many compliments on the style and color of it. Would definitely recommend this bike to all my friends.
